“the record my younger self would have dreamt of making”
UK Songwriter and producer Katie Nicholas returns with her long-awaited “Chemistry” EP.
Out for release on 11th July, this 4-track collection of country-pop bops and ballads are songs the artist herself has reworked and produced, celebrating the music that kickstarted her career. Written between ages 16,17,18 and 19, these are her earliest and most cherished tracks by fans.

The History of "Chemistry"
Stay up to date with Katie's socials to hear stories behind each of the songs and the impact
they made at the start of her musical journey.

After completing the 50 song
video series "Songwriter Diaries"
it only felt right to move ahead
once this collection of songs was
honoured; re-producing them
and reclaiming them under her
independent label Ladybird
Records - little but bold.

The original track "Chemistry",
released in 2013 as a valentines
DIY video on YouTube took off virally,
leading 17 year old Katie to land
a No1 & No3 in the UK & IRE Country
HotDisc Chart, the Liverpool Youth
Music Award, C2C Showcasing and
many more opportunities.
Despite such a promising start,
Katie removed her online catalogue
along with her debut album "Dizzy"
under guidance of industry mentors.
In a bid to secureher record label
deal, working 9-5 in London at 18
as anapprentice designer, Katie's
musical presence tapered off...
