“The Wheel” sings of the never-ending cycle of trying to make a relationship work, one which simply will not - no matter how hard both people try. At the core, there is a destructive and unstable force that keeps the both parties together yet forever in flux.
Recently chosen for the Arts Council England x Actual Music’s artist programme celebrating under-the-radar talent from the North of England, this song was recorded as part of the scheme. With continual support from BBC Introducing’s William Walthamstow during live broadcast sessions, Katie went on to showcase at Ripple Effect in Ribble Valley, hosted by the BBC Radio Lancashire presenter.
Written and performed by Katie Nicholas, featuring Anna Corcoran on piano, Isabella Baker on violin and Lorna Quail on bass guitar. Co-produced and mixed by Anthony Draper at The Grand Studio via Actual Music - special thanks to Jamie Turner & Arthur Philips.
