The Wordsmith is an exclusive and unique event focusing not only on live performance, but discussing the lyrics, poetry and true voice/story behind the artist’s work.

 

Hosted in a talk-show style, the audience also has the opportunity to join the conversation while reading along with the provided booklets, picking out specific details, lyrics and lines.  

 

Recently labeled “ahead of the curve” and likened to Sofar Sounds in its intimate nature,  events are limited to only 6 per year and carefully curated with a mixture of established, highly expressive and unique lyricists, poets and wordsmiths.

 

Our events are held at Prohibition Recording Studios, a small space which keenly can sell out fast. Located in Liverpool’s cultural Georgian Quarter, this beautiful studio is reminiscent of the 1920s, themed around the speakeasy era with a classic New Orleans touch.

 

Our aim is to showcase artists who’s stories have the power to resonate, inspire and unite people. Poets that use their prose for inner peace, Songwriters that use their voice for social change, Wordsmiths that use their words with honesty and integrity.
